Our consultants bring your company's issues and concerns out into the open with candor and compassion. We then begin to custom-design breakthrough projects which are based either on current concerns or challenges for the future. In the fields of sports and the performing arts, people have coaches to inspire them beyond where they normally stop. Consulting Alliance has managers become coaches, staff and units become teams, and employees become valuable players. Regarding management and coaching, we work from four fundamental premises:

1. Effective coaching is a means of communication which alters the actions of teams and their performance.

2. Coaching is fundamental to exceptional performance.

3. Coaching is often not present in management. Instead, what prevails is telling, giving directions, convincing and manipulating.

4. Effective coaching can be taught and learned; it is not an innate or mysterious ability that some are just fortunate enough to be born with.

People forget that business is a game. In sports, players become skillful at handling the ball. We suggest that a manager's skill is defined by how a conversation is handled. Points are scored by having conversations that make a difference. Conversations in which there is a commitment to taking creative and effective action that will produce solutions and further company goals and objectives. To the degree that managers become masterful at conversations, they can become star players in their companies.
